PITTI IMMAGINE UOMO 2017
I was very lucky to visit Pitti, a menswear trade show held in Florence, as part of my placement year. I had never been to a trade show before and so I didn't really know what to expect, but it sure did not disappoint! Pitti is a 4 day event allowing buyers, editors and retailers to view upcoming menswear collections. On this particular visit, I was particularly looking at trousers and what trends were resonating across the event. Many of the trends discussed below are not new to the market, like embroidery, but the colours used within these repeated aspects or size was alternative to previous years. This is an interesting way of seeing how trends develop over time to re-invent items whilst keeping a continuation throughout seasons.
